Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter Visits Rita-G Grand Chapter in St. John’s AntiguaWe boarded American Airlines at 8:00 a.m. and were on our way to meet and greet our Sisters and Brothers of the Caribbean. When we arrived in St. John’s, where the air was warm, the sun was bright and the members of Rita-G were there with welcomed arms, along with our own Sisters who had gone over early to prepare the way for us. PM Bonita Bell, Chair; Grand Marshal Carolyn Hunter and Grand Administrative Assistant Emily Palmer were there with smiles, hugs and direction. We were then whisked off to the Jolly Beach Resort!! Upon our arrival we enjoyed the Rum Punch Welcome Party and seeing even more Rita-G Grand Chapter members. The entire week was such a pleasant experience, we enjoyed the sightseeing, the shopping, the entertainment, the early morning walks on the beach, the swimming, the beautiful sunsets, and some were adventurous enough to enjoy the jet skis (we won’t mention any names Quincy & Ardine). One warm beautiful evening, Georgiana Thomas’ Hospitality Committee prepared a fabulous hospitality for us at the Wedding Gazebo. Such a beautiful setting for an enchanted evening, truly what memories are made of! Then came the day we all had been waiting for – the Visitation to Rita-G Grand Chapter. We entered the Annual Session in grand style – Grand Worthy Matron Dianne Marshall Streat (1) escorted by Worthy Patron Quincy Gant (14) and the contingent of the District of Columbia which included; Grand Marshal Carolyn Hunter (1); PM Delores Graves (5); PM Ardine Marie (15); WM Regina Singletary (9); PM Bonita Bell (10); Sentinel Catherine Jackson (3); Ruth – Sis. J. Felicia Alexander (15); PGL Patricia Irving (6); Grand Administrative Assistant Emily Palmer (1); and PP Samuel Graves (5). We were a sight to behold and so warmly welcomed by the host Chapter. After the introductions and remarks, we were invited next door to the formal dining room where we enjoyed a luncheon second to none. Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter traveled to Antigua with family and friends. Those who were not members of the Order shared in all of the festivities for the week. Our entire list of attendees included: MWPGM & Mrs. Nathaniel M. Adams; J. Felecia Alexander, Bonita Bell, Lisa Ellison; Quincy Gant; Samuel Graves, Delores Graves; Carolyn Hunter, Patricia Irving; Kathy Jackson; Ardine Marie; Mr. Lewis; Anita Marshall; Vernette Marshall; Emily Palmer; Regina Singletary; Mr. & Mrs. Spruill; Allyson Stokes, Howard Stokes, Jane Stokes and Dianne Marshall Streat. During this trip Mrs. Catherine Adams celebrated a Birthday and Mr. & Mrs. Stokes celebrated an Anniversary! ![]() ![]() ![]()
